2005-2006 ANNUAL REPORT

12. RMA Website

Established in April 2000, the RMA Website has continued to be refined and improved to increase the range, accessibility and timeliness of services to clients and stakeholders. The LIA requires the Authority to prepare compilations of SOPs where a SOP is amended, and links to those compilation SOPs on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments website are now provided on the RMA website.

The Website can be found at:

www.rma.gov.au

The Website offers direct access to the Statements of Principles, RMA publications, and information on current investigations and reviews. By subscribing to the Website, notification concerning updates to the site is also provided. As at the end of 2005-2006 financial year, 1026 subscribers were receiving update information via the Website, a 30% increase over the preceding year.

The Authority views the Internet medium as a principal source of distributing Statements of Principles and related information for the future.
