The Authority continued its policy of regular meetings with leading office
bearers of major Ex-Service Organisations during the year. These meetings
enable an exchange of information about current issues being dealt with
by the Authority and address matters of interest that may be raised by
Ex-Service Organisation representatives.
Professor Kaldor and the Registrar attended the National Congress of
the Returned and Services League of Australia in Hobart. Professor Donald
and the Registrar attended the State Congress of the NSW Branch of the
RSL in Sydney and the State Congress of the Victorian Branch of the RSL
in Melbourne. Professor Donald also attended the State Congress of the
Queensland Branch of the RSL in Roma. Professor Donald and the Registrar
attended the Annual General Meeting of the Australian Veterans and Defence
Services Council in Sydney, and the National Congress of the Vietnam Veterans
Association of Australia in Nerang. Due to the unavailability of Professor
Donald, Professor Kaldor and the Principal Medical Officer attended the
annual meeting of the Legacy National Pensions Committee in Canberra.
