In Vietnam Veterans' Association (NSW Branch) v Specialist Medical Review Council [2002] FCAFC 439, the
Full Court of the Federal Court expressed its views of the test for determining whether a factor should be included
in a Statement of Principles, with particular regard to the relationship between operational service and a factor
causing or contributing to an injury, disease or death.
The RMA has noted the above decision that considered Statements of Principles and which may affect the execution
of the functions by the RMA under the Act.
